Updates to Accommodation and Services

Situated in a forest of Kentia Palms and Lord Howe Banyan Trees, Arajilla Retreat sits just behind Old Settlement Beach where the turtles come to swim.

We are excited to announce that we are moving in a new direction whilst continuing our heartfelt care and pride in the experience we wish our guests to enjoy.

Your accommodation will now include fully equipped kitchens and Barbecues for alfresco dining amongst the Kentia Palms as well as a light daily breakfast.

We will be offering restaurant quality, ready-made meals and a beer and wine list for purchase.

Along with airport transfers, daily room service, light breakfast, bikes, beach umbrellas and snorkelling gear, our dedication to guest service will remain paramount.

To elevate your stay, each of our accommodations will now feature:

  • New kitchens and covered outdoor barbecue areas for the convenience and flexibility of self-contained stays.
  • Ready-made meals prepared by our Head Chef, Ben Crompton, available for purchase. Ben has been delighting guests with his culinary expertise since 2011.
  • The option to savour meals in your well-equipped kitchen or enjoy them al fresco, blending independence with indulgence.
  • An extensive wine and beer list, including curated non-alcoholic options, available for purchase to suit every taste.

While our accommodation format is evolving, many cherished inclusions remain:

  • Daily room service

  • Bikes for exploring the island
  • Assistance with activity bookings and restaurant transfers
  • A Nespresso machine in every suite

This transition is rooted in necessity. Rising operational costs and the challenges of our remote location have made the fully inclusive model unsustainable. Despite these pressures, we remain committed to sustainability, evidenced by our pioneering desalination system and advanced wastewater management technology.
