What are the inclusions for the price?

Inclusions depend on the package. All packages include:

Do you have internet access?

Yes, Arajilla provides complimentary WiFi internet access.

However, Lord Howe Island’s remote location can cause the connection to be slow and intermittent.

What are the prices of your packages?

Can you book our Lord Howe Island tours?

Yes we are able to recommend, organise and book your Lord Howe Island tours so you can get the most out of your visit. Island tours range from snorkelling, diving, fishing, golf, walking and hiking trips. All tours are weather dependent.

Are children allowed?

Arajilla Retreat is able to accommodate children from 6 years old.

How many suites do you have?

There are 12 suites in total.

The Kentia Suites are open plan, with your bathroom, bedroom, sitting room, dining, and kitchen all on one level.

The Banyan suites have the bathroom, bedroom and sitting room downstairs with the kitchen and dining upstairs, this room also has a private deck.

The Arajilla suite has two bedrooms, two ensuite bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen and dining with a private deck and barbeque area.

Blue Peter Beach House: Located off site from Arajilla this accommodation is a free-standing house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, dinning, kitchen, large deck, and Barbeque area.
This house is only permitted to have two guests at any given time.

What is your policy on extra guests?

Extra guests can only be accommodated in our Arajilla Suites. All other suite types are strictly limited to two guests.

What service does Arajilla Retreat offer?

Our Rooms have daily housekeeping.

What is your cancellation policy?

As a small property, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms due to booking lead times.

For cancellations 50 days to 21 days of arrival the deposit will be forfeited. Within 21 days of arrival all monies will be forfeited.
Please note: to avoid cancellation penalties, cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is 10:00am.

If you arrive earlier, guests are welcome to have breakfast and relax in our guest lounge until your room becomes available.

Guest luggage will be stored until their room becomes available.

How do we get to the Island?

Skytrans operate year-round flights to Lord Howe Island from Sydney aboard 32-seat Dash 8 aircraft, with flight times of less than two hours. As guest numbers to Lord Howe Island are limited, it’s recommended you book early to secure your place on this uncrowded paradise.

Eastern Air Services also offer flights to Lord Howe Island from Gold Coast, Port Macquarie and Newcastle, with Port Macquarie services operating year round and competitively priced.

Your journey takes you away from the busy mainland to a hidden sub-tropical paradise, where nature becomes your travel partner and the climate remains enjoyable year round — even through winter.

Please note there is a 7 kg carry-on baggage limit and a 14 kg checked luggage limit per person on all flights to Lord Howe Island.

What are the essentials that we need to pack?

It is recommended that you always pack a hat (regardless of the season), walking shoes, sunscreen, spray jacket and a warm top/cardigan.
