What are the inclusions for the price?

Inclusions depend on the package. All packages include:

  • All meals – gourmet breakfast, light lunch, selected pre-dinner drinks and canapés, three course dinner with a daily changing menu, tea and coffee
  • Return airport transfers on the island
  • Leisure equipment including snorkeling gear and bicycles

Do you have internet access?

Yes, Arajilla provides complimentary WiFi internet access.

However, Lord Howe Island’s remote location can cause the connection to be slow and intermittent.

What are the prices of your packages?

The prices of our packages vary on the time of year that you are travelling and package selection.

Can you book our Lord Howe Island Tours?

Yes we are able to recommend, organise and book your Lord Howe Island tours so you can get the most out of your visit. Island tours range from snorkelling, diving, fishing, golf, walking and hiking trips. All tours are weather dependent.

Are children allowed?

Arajilla Retreat is able to accommodate children from 6 years old.

How many suites do you have?

There are a total of 12 suites. Each suite has a private outdoor deck.

We have four Kentia Suites which are open plan and on one level, two Arajilla Suites that have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and separate living areas and 6 Banyan Suites that have a loft sitting room and bedroom and bathroom downstairs.

Does your chef cater for dietary requirements?

Arajilla is happy to cater for any dietary requirements. Please inform us prior to your arrival if you have any dietary or allergy requirements.

What is your policy on extra guests?

What services does Arajilla Retreat offer?

Our Rooms have daily housekeeping with a turndown service at night. There is room service available on request.

What spa facilities does Arajilla Retreat offer?

Arajilla Retreat has an Ayurvedic Day Spa. Ayurveda is the oldest scientific health care system in the world that is 5000 years old. Ayurveda meaning the Science of Life that is in harmony between body, mind and spirit. A holistic balance that prevents illness and treats acute conditions which contributes to a long and healthy life. There are massages, facials, and body and foot rituals. What is your cancellation policy?

As a small property, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms due to booking lead times.

For cancellations 50 days to 21 days of arrival the deposit will be forfeited. Within 21 days of arrival all monies will be forfeited.
Please note: to avoid cancellation penalties, cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is 10:00am.

If you arrive earlier, guests are welcome to have breakfast and relax in our guest lounge until your room becomes available.

Guest luggage will be stored until their room becomes available.

How do we get to the Island?

Qantaslink operate 32-seat Dash 8 aircraft to Lord Howe Island (LDH). Flights are less than 2 hours from Sydney or Brisbane.

There are seasonal return flights from Port Macquarie.

It is important to note that there is a 7 kg carry on baggage limit and a   14kg checked luggage limit per person that applies to all flights to Lord Howe Island.

What are essentials that we need to pack?

It is recommended that you always pack a hat (regardless of the season), walking shoes, sunscreen, spray jacket and a warm top/cardigan.
